CNC Setup / Operator

Our client is a long-established, stable precision manufacturer entering a significant period of growth in the Menomonee Falls area. They are adding people across their manufacturing operations and creating opportunities for experienced machinists as well as people who want to continue developing their skills.

This opportunity is geared toward CNC machinists who can do more than operate equipment — setting up and running CNC machining centers and/or lathes, working from prints and setup information, selecting tooling, producing first pieces and making adjustments necessary to consistently produce quality parts.

The work may include:

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
• Read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions
• Select, install and adjust tooling
• Establish or adjust feeds, speeds and machine offsets
• Produce and inspect first pieces and monitor quality throughout the run
• Use precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues
• Make program edits or adjustments appropriate to your experience

Our client is looking for people who bring solid machining experience, but not every machinist has followed the same path. Experience with different machines, controls, tooling, materials, tolerances, setup responsibilities or programming may create opportunities at different levels.
