Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,389 a week in all, a taxable rate of $28.04 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) RN – Location TBD. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within various surgical specialties, including OB-GYN, Orthopedics, Gastrointestinal, Ear, Nose, Throat, Pain Management, and Dental. The role requires flexibility to float between units and includes on-call duties, with shifts typically scheduled for 10 hours per day, totaling at least 40 hours per week.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (required)
• Education Requirements: Valid RN license with at least 2 years of OR nursing experience, including experience working in critical access hospitals. Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, minimum of 40 hours weekly.
• Responsibilities include circulating in the operating room, pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, and assisting in a variety of surgical procedures across specialties such as OB-GYN, orthopedics, GI, ENT, and dental.
• Experience working in surgical services with the ability to follow patients from pre-op through discharge is essential.
• The candidate must be comfortable float between units within surgical services and may assist other departments.
• Candidates should be prepared to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as part of the schedule.
• Prior experience with Epic EMR is preferred, along with familiarity with procedures like C-sections, laparoscopic surgeries, and trauma protocols.
• References covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required.
• Candidates should include responses regarding any prior work at a Providence facility, including locations and dates.
