Maintenance Technician

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This position follows a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of participating in an on-call rotation as needed. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You will provide support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and building systems.

• Perform general building maintenance, including servicing RTUs, changing filters, and completing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs while supporting and working alongside Building Engineers.
• Apply basic knowledge of compressors and mechanical equipment to identify issues and support day-to-day building operations.
• Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications in the field are preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
