Our clinic was established in 2009 and provides care to dogs, cats, horses, and camelids. We are equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, hospitalization, and ICU facilities for both our small animal and equine patients. Responsibilities Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assisting in surgery Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and Compensation Compensation: $25-30 per hour for each hour worked. This is a full‑time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday through Friday. Full‑time Benefits Package Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good‑standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of California CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA options and choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match starting in 2027 Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Part‑time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set 3+ years of veterinary technician experience Active and good‑standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of California Proficiency in the following skills: Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Radiology positioning and safety protocols Effective teamwork and professional communication skills Commitment to high‑quality patient care and continuous learning Experience with small and large animals is highly desired Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out‑of‑state license‑holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply Equal Employment Opportunity Statement WVP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
