Job Description
This entry-level Production Worker role focuses on assembling high-quality doors in a fast-paced wood shop manufacturing environment. You work with glass and wood components, using hand and power tools to build doors of various sizes and styles. The position requires strong reliability, consistent on-time attendance, and a willingness to be cross-trained across multiple departments based on where you best fit after a facility tour.
Responsibilities

• Assemble doors on production lines, installing components on glass or wood according to specifications.
• Measure wood and other materials accurately using tape measures to ensure precise cuts and fits.
• Cut wood and other materials using saws and appropriate power tools while following safety procedures.
• Use pneumatic tools, staple guns, hammers, and other hand and power tools to fasten and secure door components.
• Work in various departments and stations within the facility and remain open to cross-training in multiple roles.
• Participate in a daily 6:30 a.m. meeting and consistently arrive on time to support smooth production operations.
• Handle and move door materials safely and efficiently in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain close attention to detail, recognizing that some doors are extremely high-value.
• Collaborate with a team of 25+ coworkers on assembly lines and at individual stations to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols, including proper use of eye protection and high-visibility vests.

• Capability to use tape measures accurately for precise measurements.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely, including saws, hammers, staple guns, and pneumatic tools.
• Comfort working in a busy manufacturing setting with many materials and products in process.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Experience or familiarity with framing, carpentry, or finish carpentry is helpful but not mandatory.
• Experience in general labor, landscaping, construction, or construction trades is a plus.
• Experience with production, packing, assembly, or machine operating is beneficial.
• Knowledge of rough carpentry, concrete work, or door installation is an advantage.
• Comfort with materials handling in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting with changing priorities and tasks.

Work Environment
You work in a busy wood shop manufacturing facility where numerous doors are being built at any given time, creating a dynamic and energetic atmosphere. The production floor can be congested, with doors and materials positioned across lines and stations. You collaborate with a team of more than 25 people, some working in assembly lines and others at individual stations. Standard hours run from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a daily morning meeting that requires punctual attendance. Safety is a priority, and you wear eye protection and a high-visibility vest while on the floor. Closed-toe shoes are required, though steel-toe footwear is not necessary. The environment is hands-on, tool-driven, and fast-paced, ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and active production settings
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taunton, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
