Job Title: Reliability Test Technician

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: *65/hr W2

Duration: 2 months+

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Test Technician to support the testing and validation of advanced autonomous and robotic systems. This role will play a critical part in ensuring product reliability through hands-on testing, data collection, documentation, and failure analysis. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about identifying issues, improving system performance, and contributing to the development of cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute system-level and component-level reliability tests.
  • Document test procedures, results, and observations with a high level of detail.
  • Support root cause investigations and failure analysis activities.
  • Work with electronics, sensors, actuators, wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Operate environmental chambers, vibration tables, and mechanical load testing equipment.
  • Maintain test equipment and ensure an organized laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product reliability and test methodologies.
  • Support testing activities in laboratory and field environments as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer hardware, or related technical industries.
  • Experience executing reliability, validation, or qualification testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.
  • Experience with environmental testing, vibration testing, and/or mechanical load testing.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, cable assembly, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with DAQ systems, sensors, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Onshape, Creo, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on laboratory or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotic systems, autonomous vehicles, or electromechanical products.
  • Experience supporting field testing activities.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototyping tools.
  • Experience working in R&D, product development, or reliability engineering environments.
