Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) position located in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing care to adult patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases, including managing mechanically ventilated patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position is scheduled for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
• Schedule: Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License, RRT certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience, and ability to work in ICUs and floors. Candidates must have Epic electronic charting experience and be comfortable managing mechanically ventilated patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Active membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), a bachelors degree or higher in any field of study or actively working toward one, and previous experience in adult critical care or trauma settings.
• Additional Information: Candidates need to be willing to work some holidays. Successful candidates may be asked to precept respiratory therapy students and will need to work within a large campus requiring the ability to walk relatively long distances.
• Certifications: BLS, RRT. ACLS is required for the facility.
• Licensing: Pending Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License. IL license in hand required if applicable. No local candidates within 75 miles allowed.
• Travel and RTO Restrictions: Max of 7 days RTO; no RTO allowed the first week of assignment.
• Other Requirements: Epic electronic charting experience, airway management and suctioning skills, medication administration, use of aerosol and nebulizer setups, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and ability to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean from mechanical ventilation.
