Director of Plant Operations

Chandler, Arizona | Compensation DOE + performance bonus The Keller Group is running a search for a Director of Plant Operations at a nutraceutical manufacturing facility in Chandler, Arizona. The company is treating this as an investment hire: someone who can run a large operation today and grow into broader leadership down the line. This is a hands‑on plant leadership role overseeing a mid‑size production team across two shifts. If you like staying close to the floor and shaping how a plant runs day to day, this one is worth a conversation. What you’ll own: Full operational responsibility for a solid dose manufacturing facility Compliance with quality systems, cGMP, and HACCP, including monitoring critical control points, with the authority to stop a line or place product on quality hold when food safety is at risk Coordination across planning, purchasing, receiving, production, and logistics so product ships on time Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting of production goals and performance to the executive team Developing and coaching your team: mentoring, setting performance standards, and making hiring, promotion, and discipline decisions Driving continuous improvement: identifying where yield is being lost, separating value‑added work from waste, and building the procedures to fix it, with a measurable target on equipment effectiveness What we’re looking for: 5+ years of production management experience with real people leadership. This needs to be someone motivated by developing and coaching a team, not just running the numbers Hands-on experience in nutraceutical manufacturing; pharmaceutical manufacturing backgrounds also considered Lean or continuous improvement experience. Six Sigma is a nice-to-have, not a requirement College degree preferred, not required Comfortable with occasional travel Compensation and location: Chandler, Arizona area.
