Position Overview

365 Healthcare is seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry RN for a 48-hour night shift travel assignment in Waterloo, Iowa . This post-operative surgical unit provides care for telemetry and general med-surg patients in a collaborative, high-acuity environment with strong team support and modern monitoring technology.

Assignment Details

Location: Waterloo, IA
Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry
Start Date: December 10, 2025
Shift: Nights | 4×12 hr shifts | 48 hrs/week
Schedule: Every other weekend, including holiday rotation
On-Call: None
Float: May float to similar Med Surg units as needed
EMR: EPIC

Pay Package

Weekly Gross: $3,180
Taxable Base: $1,934/week ($40/hr W2 base for 48 hrs)
Stipends: $1,246/week (housing + meals)
Overtime Rate: $60/hr
Travel Reimbursement: Up to $600

⚙ Unit Profile / Environment

Unit Type: 28-bed post-operative Med-Surg / Telemetry
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Patient Types: General, thoracic, vascular, uro, gyn, ortho, podiatry
Drips: Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem
Telemetry: Bedside monitors in every patient room
Float: May float to Behavioral Health or ED as needed
Additional: Must pass on-site Cardiac Dysrhythmia competency

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years current Med Surg / Tele or post-operative care experience
Telemetry: Required (must read & interpret strips)
Travel Experience: At least 1 completed travel contract within the last 12 months
Certifications: BLS (AHA required)
License: Active Iowa or Compact RN license
EMR: EPIC required
