Lakeside Renovation & Design Carpenter PositionLakeside Renovation & Design is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced remodeling carpenter who is looking to continue to grow and hone their craft. Our ideal candidate will have a base knowledge of all aspects of residential construction as well as broad experience using industry standard construction tools and installing the latest construction materials to product best practice. Candidate must have the ability to manage day in and day out customer expectations, keep a safe and clean jobsite, and manage a team of 1 to 3 additional carpenters.Reports to: Assigned Lead Carpenter/ Project ManagerJob Summary: Carpenters are responsible for performing and completing the work of a job with an assigned crew according to a scope and schedule drafted by the Project Manager while simultaneously delivering Lakesides Values and Mission to redeem the culture and experience of the construction industry.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Follow daily communication from Lead Carpenter regarding job specific tasks and instructionsComplete assigned tasks each day and communicate results to Lead CarpenterConstruct Outdoor living structures with wood framing such as Screen rooms, Porch Overhangs, Decks.Experience in composite Decking as well as aluminum and composite rail systems (preferred).Experience in the installation of exterior finish materials such as Boral, James Hardie, vinyl (preferred).Show a willingness to learn and grow in carpentry ability and knowledge as well as product installation.Show a willingness to train and supervise laborers and apprenticesPreferred proficiency reading blueprints and designs to work to specification prepared by architects and building code recommendations.Use proper materials and equipmentMaintain a clean and safe job siteAdditional duties not listed in the job description may be assignedRequirements:2+ years of relevant experience preferredMust have a valid drivers licenseMust be able to lift job site equipmentMust be able to climb a ladderMust be able to handle heavy laborMust be able to pass a drug screen and background check (or have proper medical card)Must be willing to commute to jobs within the St. Louis Metropolitan areaBenefits:Salary range negotiableMedical, Dental, Vision, 401(K), FSA optionsCompany paid Life Insurance policiesPTO & Paid HolidaysDetailed plans & notes before you walk onto a projectFully stocked trailers with top notch toolsLogistics team to make sure you have everything you need when you need it
