Transaction Advisory - Private Credit

The client is a leading private credit manager with a global investment platform and a strong track record across alternative investments. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to hire a technically strong accountant into a commercially focused transactions role supporting the continued expansion of the private credit platform. This is a unique opportunity for somebody currently working within Big 4 audit, accounting advisory, transaction services, or within the finance function of a private credit or alternative investment manager who wants to move closer to transactions, investments, and deal execution. The role sits at the centre of complex private credit activity and will involve working closely with investment professionals, legal teams, structuring, tax, and senior finance stakeholders across a wide range of transactions and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include: Review and analysis of complex private credit investments and transaction structures Assessment of technical accounting and financial reporting implications across new deals and acquisitions Participation in transaction discussions alongside internal stakeholders and external advisers Review of legal documentation and investment agreements to identify accounting considerations Preparation of technical accounting papers and support through audit and advisory discussions Oversight of U.S. GAAP reporting considerations relating to private credit investments and investment company accounting Cross-functional work with investment, legal, tax, operations, investor relations, and finance teams Support broader strategic and ad hoc initiatives as the private credit business continues to scale You will currently be working within Big 4 audit, accounting advisory, transaction services, or within the finance function of a private credit or alternative investment manager. Experience across investment company accounting, private credit products, and U.S. GAAP technical accounting is highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be technically strong but equally commercially minded, capable of operating in a fast-paced transaction environment whilst communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
