Work Environment

This position is based onsite, delivering care directly to patients in their homes throughout the Venice area. The home care setting allows for a more personalized experience, enabling you to adjust your methods and interact with patients in their most comfortable environment. You'll collaborate with a team of passionate healthcare professionals committed to enhancing client well-being through supportive and effective therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and establish individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and conditions.
• Provide hands-on care with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, seeing an estimated 2-3 patients per hour to optimize their physical function and mobility.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise-based interventions, to promote movement and reduce pain.
• Educate patients on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness techniques to enhance recovery and maintain ongoing health.
• Document patient progress meticulously, evaluating the effectiveness of treatments and adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Consult and collaborate with other health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, and refer patients for additional services when necessary.
• Engage patients in their rehabilitation process, motivating them to adhere to treatment plans and adopt healthier lifestyles.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We primarily serve individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including joint replacements, sports injuries, and post-operative care. Your expertise will be especially valuable in guiding them through recovery, addressing their unique challenges, and supporting them in returning to their daily activities with improved function.

Qualifications

• A Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License with no history of disciplinary actions.
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the ability to obtain one before your start date.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in designing and leading exercises effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to meet the diverse needs of our patient population.
• Previous roles involving home care or one-on-one patient interactions will be beneficial to your success in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually based on experience.
