Travel Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 12 months of Oncology experience in a hospital or medical center setting required. License: Active Iowa or compact multistate license required. Certifications: AHA/Active American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS BLS, basic life support required.

Must-Have: - 12 months of oncology experience in a hospital or medical center setting required. - Med Surg experience preferred due to floating. - Infusaport access experience required. - EPIC EMR experience preferred. - Completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months required. - Skills checklist specific to Oncology/Med Surg required. - Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO/COO within the last 24 months preferred. - Driver's license required.

Description: This position requires a registered nurse specialized in Med Surg and Oncology. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week. Holiday rotation is required. The nurse will care for patients with oncology and med/surg needs, including chemotherapy side effect management. Floating across other med/surg units may be required. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 on nights. Experience with Infusaport access is required, and recent chemotherapy experience is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months of oncology experience. This position does not require on-call duties. The nurse must be comfortable floating across campuses.
