Quality Control Inspector

Experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector Uni-Tek is seeking an Experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector 1st Shift (6 am - 2:30 pm M-F). The ideal candidate will possess some CMM experience, knowledge, and skills to set up and use measurement equipment, gages, and other inspection tools, and are proficient with hand tools. Duties of Inspector: Inspectors are responsible for inspecting parts to a detailed inspection plan (DIP) Pre-plate inspection on most/all features for parts that get plating (anodize, chrome, nickel, etc) to find discrepancies before they are sent out for processing. After-plate inspection to verify any tight tolerances that may have changed during plating and verify plating thickness and do another visual inspection for damage and to verify any plating is on the correct surfaces. Visual inspection for any nicks, dings, scratches, or other damage that violates blueprint requirements or workmanship standards. Visual any required part marking for legibility and adherence to applicable marking specs. Work with department lead and production control to meet production schedule and resolve problems to hit production targets Maintain clean and organized work area Inspectors' Skills and Qualifications: Understand and read blueprints Have minimum 2 yrs working with Aerospace machined parts Have a good knowledge of GD&T principles. Proficient with hand tools and mechanical inspection tools Tools typically used in inspection: Dial Bores DiaTest Split-Ball Bore Gauges Mueller Gages Dial Test Indicator Calipers, 6" & 12" OD Micrometers CMM Pin gauges Thread gauges Depth Mics Drop Indicators Attention to detail Quality Focus
