- Ability to cover specified dates
- Clean malpractice/background


Description:
We are looking for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to cover open dates and ongoing needs.
Dates needing coverage are as follows:
- September 7 - 11, 8 AM - 5 PM
- September 28 - October 2, 8 AM - 5 PM
- October 5 - 11, 8 AM - 5 PM and night call, 24-hour call for the 10th and 11th, ending at 8 AM on the 12th
- November 23 - 28, 8 AM - 5 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 28th, ending at 7 AM on the 29th
- December 21 - 31, 8 AM - 5 PM and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 27th


There are ongoing open dates that need coverage.
Monday through Friday will be 8 AM - 5 PM plus weeknight call.
Saturday and Sunday will involve 24-hour on-call.
The position includes assisting daily in the operating room with surgery.
The average cases per day will be 1 or 2.
The call ratio is 1:2.
Proficiency in all aspects of Cardiothoracic Surgery is required, including CABG and EVH, open valvular surgery, thoracic procedures such as thoracotomy, and lobectomy.
This role may involve OR, ICU/floor management in the hospital, weekday night call, and weekend 24-hour call.
No outpatient clinic is expected, only management of inpatients.
