Mechanical Assembler I

Mechanical AssemblerHORIBA Automotive is searching for a Mechanical Assembler to work out of our Ann Arbor, MI office. This person will assemble and/or fits together parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or on the floor.Key ResponsibilitiesWorks from detailed assembly drawings and specifications; plans layouts using flowcharts; identifies and obtains necessary parts and components from stockroom.Installs mechanical components; forms and connects stainless steel tubing using hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, forming jigs and assembly fixtures.Performs leak checks and other necessary tests.Skill RequiredIncumbent typically has a high school diploma, certification from a technical school or equivalent experience.Requires general assembly experience and knowledge of assembly techniques and procedures, including tube bending and leak testing;knowledge of mechanical drawing, shop practices and shop mathematics beneficial.Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and specifications.Compensation PackageHORIBA Instruments offers a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(k) plan with match; employee group dental, vision, life, and disability (short and long-term) paid for by the company; medical insurance, family dental and vision insurance, and supplemental life insurance available with reasonable employee contributions; employee assistance program; paid holidays, vacation, and sick time; flexible spending accounts; and educational reimbursement and commuter benefit programs.
