Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate patient care has been delegated
• Support nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care is delivered
• Monitor and maintain competency of clinical staff under supervision
• Manage resources appropriately as they relate to patient care at the unit level

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of California
• Experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting
• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patient care on a per-shift basis
• Ability to supervise and delegate care to appropriate clinical staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience supporting nursing leadership in quality and safety initiatives
• Strong resource management skills in an acute care or Med/Surg environment
