Aerotek is now hiring for Millwrights, Mechanics and Stick Welders!!

Location: South Orlando, FL

Schedule: Day Shift (Typically 7:30 AM – ~5:00 PM, end time varies based on production needs)

Schedule Requirements: Monday–Friday with ~2 Saturdays/month and occasional Sundays

Pay: $80,000 - $110,000+ (based on experience) + bonus's - this is an uncapped pay role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to support operations in a high-production outdoor environment. This role is responsible for performing mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations, with a strong focus on conveyors and industrial machinery. The position combines hands-on mechanical work and welding to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems and industrial machinery
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Complete conveyor changes and both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform welding (horizontal and vertical stick) for repairs and fabrication
• Safely operate air arc equipment, cutting torches (propane/oxygen), and welding tools
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and prevent equipment failures
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, high reaches, and forklifts
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Follow safety standards in an outdoor industrial environment
• Collaborate with maintenance team to complete daily tasks and projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience or 10+ years of industrial welding experience
• Background working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with conveyors and industrial equipment maintenance
• Proficiency in stick welding (must be able to pass weld test)
• Experience working with motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to safely operate air arc equipment and cutting torches
• Comfortable operating heavy equipment (forklifts, skid steers, lifts)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Flexible schedule to support production needs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
