Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solutions Architect leads the design of complex client solutions across CRM, automation, integrations, websites, data flows, and connected business systems. This role combines strong technical judgement with structured problem-solving to ensure solutions are scalable, practical, secure, and aligned with client goals. The Senior Solutions Architect works cross-functionally with the Head of Solutions, Technical Project Managers, Developers, CRM Strategists, and implementation teams to shape high-quality solutions and support successful delivery. The role also plays an important part in strengthening internal standards, documentation quality, reusable frameworks, and overall solution design capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and technical design of complex client solutions across CRM, automation, integrations, websites, and related systems
• Participate in discovery sessions to understand business requirements, pain points, constraints, and technical dependencies
• Translate business objectives into solution designs, technical blueprints, workflow logic, system interactions, and data structures
• Define integration strategies, API requirements, middleware patterns, and system interoperability approaches
• Work closely with the CRM team to ensure platform configuration aligns with the wider solution design
• Collaborate with developers to ensure solutions are technically sound, implementable, and scalable
• Review proposed technical approaches and completed work to ensure architectural consistency and quality
• Partner with Technical Project Managers to align solution design with delivery scope, timelines, dependencies, and resource planning
• Produce and maintain clear documentation for solution architecture, integrations, workflows, data mappings, and handovers
• Identify technical risks, edge cases, assumptions, and trade-offs early in the delivery lifecycle
• Contribute to internal frameworks, templates, reusable assets, and standards that improve consistency and speed of delivery
• Support and mentor junior team members to improve solution thinking, documentation, and implementation quality

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong solution architecture capability across business systems, automation, integrations, and technical delivery
• Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, data modelling, workflow design, and solution documentation
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear, practical technical approaches
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Sound judgement in balancing ideal architecture with delivery realities, timelines, and commercial constraints
• Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making capability
• Ability to coordinate effectively across CRM, development, and project delivery functions
• Leadership and mentoring capability, particularly in supporting less experienced technical or implementation team members
• Familiarity with modern SaaS platforms, connected systems, and middleware tools

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, business systems design, technical consulting, implementation architecture, or a similar role
• Proven track record designing and supporting delivery of integration-led, automation-led, or systems-focused solutions
• Experience working across multiple platforms and stakeholders, with the ability to connect business requirements to technical delivery
• Demonstrated experience reviewing technical approaches and improving implementation quality
• Experience mentoring or guiding technical, configuration, or implementation team members
• University qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar is helpful but not required
• Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automation and integration tools such as Zapier, Make, Pipedream, Workato, or similar
• Experience with CMS platforms, websites, or digital delivery
• Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns, cloud-based systems, and secure solution design
• Experience in B2B operational environments involving sales, marketing, service, or customer lifecycle systems

Quantitative KPIs

• 95% or more of solution design deliverables are approved on the first review
• 3% or fewer of projects require rework due to solution design or architecture issues
• 90% or more of projects supported within the agreed technical scope and delivery timelines
• Minimum of 4 mentoring or knowledge-sharing sessions per quarter
• All assigned tasks were maintained and completed within sprint deadlines
• At least 2 approved frameworks, documentation, or process improvements annually
