Position Summary The Line Packer is responsible for all duties outlined in the Line Packer job description, producing safe, high‑quality food products in accordance with USDA requirements. The operator reports any food‑safety concerns to supervisors, managers, or the quality assurance department for immediate action. Slicer Operator Load bulk meat logs (up to 35pounds) into the meat slicer at required production frequency levels. Perform weight checks of drafts as they come off the slicer. Review and inspect rejected drafts/product and re‑portion out good drafts. Open rejected packages and place meat back onto line for repackaging. Maintain the slicer area in a clean and sanitary manner at all times. Cupper Place pre‑determined amounts of meat product into packaging. Reject meat product that does not meet quality specifications. Alert the line operator of stopping or stalling of the machine. Maintain the cupping area in a clean and sanitary manner at all times. Dry Side Packager / Bag Inspector Place the required number of packages into a box. Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21–72 units per minute. Maintain the dry side packaging area in a clean and sanitary manner at all times. Place sealed bags into a plastic tub container. Palletizer Ensure that boxes are filled to required levels. Stamp boxes as evidence of proper inventory. Place completed boxes (up to 35lbs) on a pallet, ensuring proper pallet configuration. Notify the forklift driver of a completed pallet. Maintain the pallet area in a clean and sanitary manner at all times. Other or Miscellaneous Duties Perform duties assigned by the acting supervisor, such as maintaining production throughput, housekeeping, rework, labeling, or new product packaging as required by customers. Attend to additional responsibilities as assigned. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Legal eligibility to work in the United States. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Work in a high‑speed packaging environment and stand for 8–9 hours per day. Good hand/eye coordination and ability to work in a fast‑paced setting. Bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and miscellaneous duties. Ability to work in temperatures of 40°F or lower. Lift up to 35pounds for 30 minutes at a time. Work 40 or more hours per week, including mandatory overtime and weekend shifts. Flexibility to work as needed. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Compensation & Benefits Pay rate:$18.00per hour.
