Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 3rd to 5th year Entrepreneurial Ventures Associate to join its New York NY office on a hybrid basis. This is a 100 percent transactional role advising venture capital investors and emerging growth companies across the full lifecycle, from formation and early seed rounds through later stage financings and strategic transactions. The platform offers a sophisticated corporate practice with a collaborative, partner led approach, consistent deal flow, and opportunities to build durable client relationships while working closely with colleagues across complementary corporate disciplines. The Opportunity You will support venture financings and general corporate matters, taking an active role in drafting and negotiating key deal documents, coordinating diligence and closings, and advising founders and investors on practical, business minded solutions. Prior exposure to technology, AI, or life sciences matters will be helpful, but is not required. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Entrepreneurial Ventures Associate with: 3 to 5 years of meaningful venture capital and emerging companies experience within a corporate transactional practice Working knowledge of NVCA model documents and market terms in preferred stock financings Strong drafting and negotiation skills across equity financings and related corporate governance documentation Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a deal driven environment New York Bar admission preferred Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers high quality venture work within an established national platform, with meaningful responsibility, direct partner access, and regular exposure to sophisticated clients.
