SUMMARY: The Charlotte Hall Drug & Alcohol Residential Treatment Center has served local communities for more than 40 years, providing treatment through structured programs for detox, residential care, medication-assisted treatment, and family education for both men and women. Pyramid Healthcare offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare to help clients develop the strength needed to overcome life’s challenges, allowing clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being. We are seeking a Cook to join our team in supporting our clients with the preparation and serving of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. This role involves operating and cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.

Schedule : Sunday to Saturday, 6 AM - 7 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include maintaining an organized, clean, and safe environment in the kitchen at all times, complying with food safety standards during all phases of food handling, and completing all required documentation, including food and equipment temperature logs. The Cook will wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment, returning them to proper storage areas as requested, and assist in the proper receiving, rotating, and storage of food and supplies. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas.
• Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines throughout all phases of food handling.
• Complete required documentation, including food and equipment temperature logs.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist in receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies properly.
• Participate in regular kitchen clean-up and maintenance tasks.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
