Staff are expected to engage with students, families, and the broader community in a professional and welcoming manner. Role Description The Front Desk Staff role is a part-time, on-site position located in Brookings, SD. This team member will greet and check in students and visitors, answer phone calls, respond to text messages, and provide accurate information about classes, schedules, and events. Daily responsibilities include managing reception activities, processing payments, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring the lobby and front desk area are clean and organized, also help keep track of inventory. The role also involves assisting with new student enrollment, supporting customer inquiries, and coordinating with instructors and management to address scheduling or administrative needs. The Front Desk Staff is expected to represent the gym professionally, uphold confidentiality, and deliver consistent, courteous service. Qualifications Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Experience is great but not necessary Professional Phone Etiquette for answering inquiries, scheduling, and follow-up communication. Computer Literacy, including comfort with, basic office software, and scheduling or payment systems we can also teach on the job Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Previous experience in working with the public is encouraged Ability to work on-site in Brookings, SD, including evenings or occasional weekends!
