As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Hospital in Homestead, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policy. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security‑related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Complete detailed incident reports and document observations, activities, and/or responses while communicating with site contacts, local law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Hospital vaccine requirements must be met. Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Must have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
