Major Responsibilities:

• Assists with evaluation, preparation, and after care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, or electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepares, calibrates and operates all equipment used during procedures, including physiologic recorder, x-ray equipment, film processor and life support equipment.
• Performs quality assurance and maintains related documentation for x-ray equipment, film processor and lead aprons.
• Monitors documentation related to radiation exposure of HVIL staff.
• Monitors records, processes and interprets intracardiac pressures & electrocardiographic signals during procedures.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

• Required: Associate degree, Certified Registered Radiology Technologist (RRT), Certified in basic life support.

Experience/Skills:

• Required: 5 year's experience in special procedures, radiographic imaging or equivalent. Experience in advanced life support and surgical techniques.
• Preferred: Previous cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, and/or electrophysiology laboratory experience is preferred.
