Registered Nurse- General Adult Unit

General Adult Unit is a nationally and internationally recognized program for the treatment of individuals with a variety of mental health conditions. The program utilizes an intensive multi‑disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process‑oriented, experiential, and psycho‑educational group therapies. As a Registered Nurse you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by a physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day‑to‑day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to the treatment team. Requirements: Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or a compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. New clinical staff will begin an extended orientation/training immediately after the first day of employment. Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocating.
