Cardio-thoracic ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardio-thoracic ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an 18-week contract. The position requires a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality care in the Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for individuals in the Cardio-thoracic ICU.
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, IV lines, and PA lines.
• Ensure the delivery of safe and effective therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Shift Information

This position includes both day and night shifts:

• Day Shift: 0700 - 1930
• Night Shift: 1900 - 0730

Shift ratios are set at 1:1, ensuring focused patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardio-thoracic ICU or similar environment.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Experience with ventilators, IV start, and pulmonary artery lines is mandatory.
• Travel experience is preferred.

Additional Information

• Work schedule includes weekend requirements, unless specified otherwise in the posted schedule.
• Candidates must be able to accommodate 7 days off in November/December, which may include one holiday, and must work 2 of 3 holidays.
• Floating may occur within ICU units, but there is no floating to sister hospitals.
• Local candidates and those with pending licenses will be considered.
