Counselor – Kingswood Day Camp Kingswood campers explore Cranbrook's 319-acre campus of playing fields, woods, rivers, lakes, and gardens. They participate in a full schedule that includes swimming, music, sports, drama, arts, yoga, dance, science, nature, archery, canoeing, and tennis. These opportunities provide time for growth and emphasize cooperative team efforts. Field trips and events add to our camp experience. At Kingswood, diversity is celebrated, and personal talents are nurtured by exploring a wide variety of unique cultural, educational, and enrichment activities. It is a time for campers to explore, make new friends, and have fun together! Duties Interact with families and campers (girls, grades 2-9) in a positive, nurturing and enriching manner. Supervise and be accountable for campers during the camp day including pick‑up/drop‑off, classroom and outdoor activities, lunchtime, transitions, and downtime. Lead enriching and creative experiences when assigned. Manage campers in all activities and while moving about campus to ensure consistent engagement and safety for each camper. Provide enriching and creative growth experiences within the camp activities. Qualifications High school diploma; Childcare experience; Superior problem‑solving skills and ability to relate with campers, staff, and parents. Preferred 18+ years of age; Currently attending or graduated from college; Camp employment experience. Timeframe Orientation begins the week of June 9.
