Position Summary

Onvida Health is seeking a full-time hospital-employed Infectious Disease Physician to deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, including participation in a shared Emergency Department call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based infectious disease care across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients through the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of complex and chronic infections while ensuring continuity, safety, and optimal health outcomes
• Participate in shared Emergency Department call coverage to ensure timely access to specialized infectious disease treatments
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, pharmacists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to promote coordinated, seamless care across the continuum
• Contribute to infection prevention, quality improvement, and performance initiatives focused on enhancing patient safety and clinical excellence
• Support adherence to CDC guidelines, state health requirements, and federal healthcare regulations to maintain high standards of patient care and public health
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system to ensure clear communication and continuity of care

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
• DEA registration required
• PLUS wRVU productivity incentive compensation
• PLUS eligible for annual quality incentive compensation (additional 5% of base salary)
