Job Description
Restaurant Floor Manager oversees front-of-house operations during service, supervising servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders to ensure smooth service flow, guest satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Overview:
A Restaurant Floor Manager is responsible for real-time management of the dining room, acting as the link between the general manager's strategic oversight and the service staff's table-level execution.
Staff Management
- Conduct pre-shift briefings (specials, 86'd items, large parties).
- Train, mentor, and coach FOH employees.
- Create schedules and manage time-off requests.
- Step into FOH roles when needed (server, host, bartender).
Customer Service
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain a customer-focused environment that encourages repeat business.
Operational Oversight
- Enforce food safety, health, and cleanliness standards.
- Oversee opening/closing duties and side work completion.
- Manage POS systems and cash handling.
Must have full availability, days/nights/weekends.
