Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Infant Special Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM to 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Level 2 Nursery License: Current RN License in the state Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card, NRP Certification Must-Have: BSN preferred Description: To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. To apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Requires constant interaction with internal and external customers including patients, families, physicians, and employees. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting are necessary. Must be capable of lifting/moving patients and occasionally carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger and hand dexterity is essential. Ability to communicate clearly and react calmly in emergency situations is required. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions is necessary. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to administer patient care is important. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and medical staff is crucial. Ability to analyze situations and apply critical thinking is expected. Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue may occur. May be required to work holidays and weekends as needed and possibly float to other facilities.
