About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Risk Governance. This senior leadership role is pivotal in defining and leading the Risk Framework function within the Risk Governance and Strategic Risk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the Risk Management Framework operates effectively and evolves in line with strategic and regulatory expectations. This includes aligning the framework with enterprise and growth priorities, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and providing authoritative advisory on core methodologies. The role also involves maintaining the Risk Governance architecture, driving the consistent application of the framework, and fostering a strong risk culture within the organization. Applicants must have a university degree in a relevant discipline, with an advanced degree or professional designation considered an asset. A minimum of 8 years' experience in enterprise risk management, risk governance, or related functions within a large, complex, regulated organization is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, governance practices, and regulatory expectations, particularly in the financial services sector. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills are essential, as is a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture.
