Apprentice

Position Summary Entry-level position that performs work assisting a full performance technician/mechanic/worker in a specific trade. Tasks become more complex as there is progression in skill. Assignments are well-defined in nature and the employee is expected to carry them out according to detailed instructions. Job Description Perform training-level work in a specific trades area Performs work under the supervision of a higher-level trades worker Uses hand and power tools to assist a full performance trades worker in performing maintenance, repairs or tests in a trade specialty Assembles equipment and material needed to begin and complete work projects; supplies trades worker with materials and tools required while work in progress; positions objects for installation, repairs, etc.; cleans equipment; stocks maintenance vehicles with tools and equipment for field repairs; gathers salvageable materials in the field and returns them to the repair shop Required Test None Preferred Education And Experience High school diploma or equivalent or equal combination of education and experience Six (6) months of related experience Physical Strain Lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds Bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights Must be able to work under pressure Must be able to work with the team developing improved work processes for the department #J-18808-Ljbffr
