Pharmacist (Staff Pharmacist) - Direct Hire

Nonforeign Area Cost-of-Living Allowances (COLA): There is an 8.64% (of basic pay) Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) authorized for FDC Honolulu, HI, and a 2.49% for MDC Guaynabo, PR. To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Basic Requirements: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. OR 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree. AND Licensure: Applicants also must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: ALL applicants MUST upload proof of current, active and unrestricted license for verification at the time you apply. AND Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. NOTE: Employees currently assigned to positions in this occupational series as of September 2017 will be considered to have met the basic requirements for the position occupied. All qualified referred candidates will undergo a credentialing process prior to employment with the Bureau of Prisons. This process includes validation of examinations, licensure, education, internship and residency.
