Community Outreach Representative

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Assist with casework Assist with community engagement –including attending events with the Senator, staff or independently Answer telephones Greet visitors to the office Assist with appointments/scheduling Answer constituent requests for general information and other inquiries Assist with office administrative tasks, including letter writing

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

The ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy, tact and compassion Strong writing and verbal communication skills Interest in issues specific to the region Problem solving abilities The ability to exercise a high degree of initiative The ability to work independently and use good judgment The ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge of personal computers Multi-language skills a plus The Office of Senator Adam Schiff is seeking a Community Outreach Representative. Based in the Fresno office, and under the direction of the Regional Director, the Community Outreach Representative will assist with in-office administrative tasks and community outreach projects, as well as support the office’s casework operation under the direction of the Constituent Services Director. This is a full-time in-person position based in the Fresno, CA office. This position is eligible for all Senate employee benefits. The office is an equal opportunity employer.
