Cloud Engineer

About the Role We’re seeking a Cloud Engineer with 5+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms to join our Global Information Technology team. This role involves collaborating across time zones with the Digital team and others, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You’ll help support cloud migration, performance optimization, and best practices across multi‑cloud environments. Responsibilities Designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments. Architecting and implementing secure network solutions, including VP, Cs/VNets, subnets, routing, and connectivity. Configuration and management of Palo Alto Firewalls, network security groups, and other security controls. Maintaining and extending existing Infrastructure‑as‑Code (AWS CDK, TypeScript), proposing improvements through standard review processes. Monitoring system performance, availability, and security using cloud‑native and third‑party tools. Supporting cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud architecture. Designing and maintaining secure connectivity (VPN, site‑to‑site, client VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute). Maintaining infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions runners, cloud environments, deployment targets). Supporting vulnerability response processes and remediation timelines. Troubleshooting and resolving cloud, network, and firewall‑related issues. Support deployment infrastructure for web applications and on‑premises software distribution. Qualifications for Success Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, etc.) is preferred. Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and Agile practices is preferred. Highly self‑motivated and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Positive and professional attitude, resourceful nature, and excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability. Highly trustworthy with the ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information. Outstanding communication skills and team‑oriented mindset that encourages effective collaboration. Comfortable collaborating across disciplines, time zones, and cultures. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms. Proven hands‑on experience with cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNets, subnets, routing tables, DNS). Experience configuring and managing firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs, Azure NSGs, Azure Firewall, etc.). Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools. Experience in designing secure network connectivity (VPNs, private endpoints, hybrid networking). Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Preferred Qualifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect certifications. Experience with advanced networking and security architectures (zero trust, segmentation, private networking). Experience in multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Travel may be required. Occasional long hours and after‑hours work may be required. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $105,508 – $121,886 annually, based on skills, experience, and education.
