Senior Project Manager, Construction

Role Description The Senior Project Manager, Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, Maryland responsible for leading and managing construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. This role oversees project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring that work is executed safely, on time, and within scope. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; reviewing drawings and specifications; leading project meetings; and resolving field issues promptly. The Senior Project Manager will track progress, manage contracts and change orders, oversee inspections, and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. This role also guides project teams, mentors junior staff, and supports continuous improvement in processes, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Project management capabilities, including Project Management and Logistics Management skills to oversee schedules, budgets, resources, and materials flow.
• Expediting-related skills, including Expeditor and Expediting experience to accelerate critical-path activities and manage vendor and subcontractor deliverables.
• Inspection skills, including experience with Inspection processes to verify work quality, compliance with codes, and adherence to project specifications.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects, preferably as a lead or senior project manager.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety standards, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, scheduling tools, document management platforms).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate diverse teams.
• Proven ability to analyze risks, manage change orders, control costs, and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM, LEED accreditation) are beneficial.
