Our exceptional quality is driven by a deep investment in and the daily practice of continually improving our people, processes, and products.As a Machine Maintenance & Facilities Technician, you will provide mechanical, electrical and control support to production machining, NPI, and facilities. Supporting a large variety of machine configurations and OEMs are supported including 5+ axis mill turn applications, lathes, boring machines, broaches, compressed air systems, etc. The Machine Maintenance Technicians are responsible for repair, preventative maintenance and modification of that machinery. This role will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining other facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. The position will require collaboration and critical thinking to troubleshoot unique equipment issues and develop quick resolutions in a demanding environment.This is a full-time role that may require some extended hours and weekends, as needed.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair all assets to ensure their proper operating conditionProvide preventative and correct maintenance on various complex CNCs: 5 axis milling, mill turn applications, and lathesSchedule and execute on-time preventative maintenance plans for a variety of machines across production areasTroubleshoot, and repair control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensorsTroubleshoot and repair various machine tool hydraulic and pneumatic systems including actuators, valves, pumps, and filtersTroubleshoot and repair machine tool mechanical systems including ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxesInstall, service and maintain the operating condition of all the facilities equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on facilities and machinery by scheduled deadlineAssist EHS with hazardous waste accumulation area checks, safety walks.Drive forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and company vehiclesPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate3+ years of experience in an industrial discipline repairing machines, equipment, and equipment.3+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repairMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineerExperience installing, aligning and commissioning 3 and 5 axis machines in an aerospace environmentExperience adjusting CNC geometry components including – straightness, squareness, linear accuracy, servo tuning, tool center point controlExperience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in aerospace manufacturing environmentExperience operating a forklift and other related equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawingsAbility to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS Office skills)Ability to use power tools and hand tools as well as heavy equipmentAbility to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standardsDetail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgencyAnalytic thinker that gets to the root of problems and comes up with permanent solutions to remedy issuesSelf-motivated and able to work well with othersWorking ConditionsRequires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Capable of being forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certifiedMust be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairsPersonal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floorOccasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
