Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to provide comprehensive mechanical and electrical support to our production teams. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a machine maintenance role, with a strong commitment to equipment reliability, safety, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Equipment Support & Troubleshooting: Provide maintenance and mechanical support to production teams by troubleshooting equipment. Understand the instrumentation and perform repairs as needed.
• Machinery Repair & Assembly: Assemble, install, dismantle, and repair machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems. Plan, layout, and perform all required operations incident to the installations, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment within the facility. Make proper connections to panels, electronic units, etc.
• General Equipment Repair: Perform general repairs to all types of machines or equipment. Tear down units, determine the extent of troubles, repair or replace defective parts, and reassemble. Replace parts such as bearings, gears, shafts, worn or broken units, or equipment elements. Install and wire motors for a variety of standard and special-purpose machines and equipment.
• Rigging & Moving: Move machines and equipment to the designated area using forklifts, hoists, and other equipment.
• Conduit Installation: Install all types of conduits, making bends, threading, and reaming where necessary.
• Machining & Welding: Perform ordinary machining operations using a lathe, milling machine, grinder, drill press, etc. Willing and able to weld using TIG, stick, or MIG.
• Facilities Maintenance: Perform plumbing work in all parts of the plant and general building maintenance work.
• Preventative Maintenance: Experience and commitment to fulfilling the preventative maintenance program, including all cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments to equipment and machines. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Safety & Organization: Participate in the company safety program and maintain clean and organized work areas.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience required in a machine maintenance position.
• Technical Blueprints: Skilled in reading and working from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete tasks.
• Electrical & Mechanical Aptitude: Strong diagnostic skills across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Welding/Machining: Proficient in using standard shop tools (lathe, mill, grinder) and capable of MIG, TIG, or stick welding.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: The expected hourly wage is $40 - $41/hr. Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd and 3rd shift hours available
