This role leads end-to-end delivery of physical security projects within an active construction and data center environment. The Project/Program Manager oversees initiatives from design through installation and closeout, ensuring access control and video surveillance systems are implemented on time, within scope, and in alignment with technical, budget, and compliance requirements. The position requires a hands-on leader who collaborates closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate schedules, manage changes, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical security projects from initial design through equipment installation, testing, and project closeout.
• Coordinate and manage security system vendors and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of access control and CCTV/video surveillance solutions.
• Oversee project schedules, milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, adjusting plans as needed to keep projects on track.
• Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, forecasting needs, and aligning expenditures with approved financial plans.
• Review, interpret, and coordinate project specifications, drawings, and related technical documentation to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Support and uphold code compliance requirements, ensuring that all physical security installations meet applicable standards and regulations.
• Administer project changes and change orders, including assessing impacts on scope, schedule, and budget and obtaining required approvals.
• Track project progress using appropriate tools and methods, and provide clear, regular status updates to key stakeholders.
• Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including closeout packages, as-built drawings, and records of changes and approvals.
• Participate actively in sprint and stand-up meetings, collaborating with internal project teams to align priorities and resolve issues in an agile environment.
• Work hands-on in the field as needed to coordinate construction activities related to physical security systems within the data center environment.
• Identify project risks and issues related to security systems and construction activities, and work with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation plans.

Essential Skills

• 35 years of relevant project or program management experience, preferably with physical security projects.
• Proven experience managing projects within active construction and data center environments.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Hands-on experience with physical security systems such as access control and CCTV/video surveillance.
• Strong vendor management skills, including selection, coordination, performance oversight, and issue resolution.
• Experience with security systems installation, including coordinating installation activities with construction teams.
• Ability to review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with code compliance requirements related to physical security installations.
• Experience with project coordination in a multi-stakeholder environment, including internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Previous experience working in a data center environment.
• Ability to participate effectively in sprint and stand-up meetings and collaborate within an agile or iterative project framework.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear project updates and coordinate activities across diverse teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex technical environments.
• Experience in construction-related projects involving technology or security systems.
• Ability to build strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in managing documentation, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments where priorities can shift.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address project risks.

Work Environment

This position is fully on-site at a data center project and requires 100% presence in the field environment. You will work closely with construction teams, security system vendors, and internal stakeholders in an active construction setting, coordinating the deployment of access control and CCTV/video surveillance systems. The role involves regular participation in sprint and stand-up meetings, reflecting a collaborative and agile work culture. You can expect a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, and clear communication and coordination are essential. The work setting includes typical construction and data center conditions, such as frequent movement between project areas, interaction with technical equipment, and adherence to site safety and security protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of New Carlisle, IN.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $78.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
