Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days or Nights Available | 3x12s or 4x12s
Employment Type: Travel Contract

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Lubbock, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for experienced L&D nurses as well as first-time travelers looking to expand their clinical experience in a supportive acute care environment.

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Compact License required.

• Recent Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care setting required.

• Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient care skills.

• Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.

• First-time travelers are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients.

• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.

• Assist with labor management, inductions, deliveries, and immediate postpartum recovery.

• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatric teams, and neonatal specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.

• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care.

• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Participate in weekend rotation schedules as required.

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the childbirth process.

Additional Information:

• No floating outside the assigned Labor & Delivery/Women's Services unit.

• Weekend rotation required: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule block.

• No on-call requirement.
