You'll become well trained to cover all aspects of **store operations, achieve key performance** and **financial objectives**, as well as **directional** and **performance planning**. Be part of it! Overall, we are looking for someone who takes pride in being a **great merchant**, a **passionate leader**, and **committed** to making sure every **customer experience** is better than the last!**Here are some ways you will make an impact:*** Assists with the management of all aspects of Store operations including customer service, store condition and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates* Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store* Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation and visual marketing/merchandising* Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink* Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager**If this sounds like you, make sure you also meet these requirements:*** **Two (2) or more years** of **grocery** or **retail management experience** + **Hands-on** leadership experiencein **grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments)** is **highly preferred** but not required.* **Physical Requirements:** Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height* **Schedule Availability:** Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays* You must be **18 years of age** or older* **High School Diploma** / Equivalent* Successfully **pass our pre-employment checks**, including a **drug screen** and **criminal background check*** **Valid driver’s license** and safe driving record per GFS policy**Note:** Please make sure you use a valid email so we can follow up with you and let you know what’s happening next in the process!### ## BE PART OF AN AMAZING CULTURE WHERE WHAT MATTERS TO YOU, MATTERS TO US!Gordon Food Service values our customers and understands that their success is largely dependent upon their workforce.
