At Wisoman Foods, our Production team plays a critical role in food safety and quality. The Production Lead is an essential leader in ensuring that all production activities support compliance, consistency, and audit readiness across our facility. Job Description The Production Lead will assist in the efficient production of flatbreads and tortillas. This role will assist in operations/changeovers of specified machinery, safety, efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Produce and package a high quality product through the use of proper procedures and adherence to good manufacturing practices and in accordance to the company food safety policies. Ensure the safety of all employees in the operation of equipment through proper training, enforcement of safety rules, documentation, and following proper procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with all company policies as well as regulatory agency standard. Continuously strive for improvement in production efficiencies so that downtime is minimized and production yield is maximized. Monitor rework levels and usage in order to keep rework levels at a minimum. Monitor and control inventory levels and yields through the proper usage and reporting of raw materials. Fill in for Production Supervisors when they are absent and assume all principal duties and responsibilities. Serve as a resource for Team Members on various topics such as safety, employee relation, production and quality related questions. Ensure regular communication with all production crew and quality assurance personnel in the areas of processing, packaging, maintenance and quality/sanitation. Plan and initiate cross training of employees to expand job knowledge and add flexibility to scheduling the workforce. Ensure proper and accurate reporting of all daily requirements. Responsible for food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices. Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to the appropriate personnel, as well as following quality and safety programs and policies themselves in order to ensure products made meet the highest standards possible. Fill out any and all paperwork as required. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner. Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments including Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Accounting, and Operations. Fork lift certification required Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the Production Lead is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
