At the District Two, Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. Job Responsibilities Under limited supervision, manages programs, staff, clinical services and fiscal process of the local public health department Identifies community partners, providers and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community Additional Responsibilities Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, polices and/or procedures Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury or disability and the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols Supervises and plans work of assigned staff Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols Minimum Qualifications Associate\'s degree/diploma in Nursing from an accredited college AND Three years of PHN experience AND Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certifications Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of PHN experience AND Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification Additional Information To be considered for employment at District 2 Public Health you must complete an online application.
