Job Description Underground production and development miners drill, blast, operate mining machinery, and perform related duties to extract ore in underground mines and to construct tunnels, passageways to facilitate mining operations. They are employed by metal and non-metallic mineral underground mines and by specialized contractors in mine construction, and tunneling. Underground Miner – Development performs some or all of the following duties: Ability to obtain a BATF Possessor clearance Utilize a twenty-scale and read cut sheets/maps Ability to operate a Single & Two Boom jumbo Ability to understand different rock types and blasting procedures to minimize over-break Ability to understand and utilize back-sites to properly follow line and grade Ability to operate a mechanized bolter Ability to understand and follow ground support plans Ability to understand dewatering systems Be responsible for directing muck haul and organizing activities with the purpose of reaching daily and weekly production goals Perform all duties of the UG Miner – Truck Driver and UG Miner – Equipment Operator Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Will be determined by position of experience as an Underground Miner Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen Must pass physical examination Be able to obtain a BATF possessor clearance Be able to work rotating shifts i.e. graveyard/swing shifts Willing to travel AMT offers: Competitive wages with bonus 401k Profit Sharing with matching contribution Accessibility: If you need an accommodation as part of the employment process please contact Human Resources Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
