Building Attendant I - Field House

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of 8th grade; no experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years of relevant experience.

Job Summary:
To provide routine manual services to assure clean, orderly, and sanitary conditions in and around buildings.

Job Duties:
Cleans and services the entire Field House, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas as needed.
Dust mops, wet mops, polish, vacuums, and shampoos carpets, rugs, and furniture.
Cleans and disinfects walls, ceilings, and furniture.
Cleans all horizontal and vertical surfaces as needed.
Maintains pool area, sweeps pool, hoses down pool deck.
Checks CO2 gauges, checks chlorine level in tanks, able to read gauges on the pump and understand what those numbers mean.
Maintains maintenance sheds on the Fields to make sure they stay neat and orderly.
Maintains housekeeping equipment and utility closets in an orderly and clean manner.
Makes sure equipment is working, and all equipment not working is reported to the Front Desk.
Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
Cover the reception area on occasion as needed.
Performs related duties as required.

Working Environment and Conditions:
Will be required to work overtime.
Exposure to adverse weather conditions - extreme heat/cold and rain.
Heavy lifting required: 25 to 50 lbs. frequently; up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Walking: 50 to 75% time.
Bending/Stooping/Crouching: 25 to 50% time.
Climbing: 15% to 20% time.
Pushing/Pulling Objects: 25 to 50% time.

Salary Range:
Actual salary is commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:
7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
