Returns and Receiving Coordinator

Position: Returns and Receiving Coordinator Department: Warehouse Reports To: Director of Warehouse Location: Tempe, AZ (On-site) FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Returns and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for processing all returned merchandise, ensuring accuracy in documentation, quality checks, and proper disposition of products. This role helps maintain customer satisfaction by handling returns efficiently while supporting inventory control and warehouse organization. Key Responsibilities Return ProcessingReceive, log, and inspect returned merchandise against return authorizations (RAs). Verify product condition (unused, damaged, incorrect item, defective). Determine disposition of returns (restock, repair, dispose, or elevate). Document all returns in the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately. Inventory & RestockingRe-label and restock eligible items into proper warehouse locations. Coordinate with Inventory Control to update stock levels. Isolate damaged or defective products and report to the Quality/Production team. Customer Service SupportProvide feedback to the Customer Service Team on return discrepancies or patterns. Communicate clearly regarding missing documentation, incomplete returns, or issues requiring resolution. Quality & ComplianceFollow company guidelines for return eligibility and product condition. Ensure all returned products are processed within established timelines. Maintain organized records of returns for reporting and auditing purposes. Workplace StandardsKeep the returns area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Adhere to warehouse safety protocols and operational standards. Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, or other warehouse tasks when needed. Qualifications 1–2 years of warehouse, inventory, or returns processing experience (apparel/headwear preferred). Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills (Excel, order management systems). Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Working Conditions Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The working environment includes exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse noise.
