Teachers Now is currently hiring reliable and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year to support local schools in Galveston, Texas City, Webster, and surrounding communities. Whether you're a retired educator, recent college graduate, current college student, or someone looking for meaningful part-time work, this is a great opportunity to earn extra income while helping students succeed.
No teaching certification is required! Candidates with at least 60 college credit hours or an Associate Degree may qualify.

- Lead the classroom using lesson plans provided by the teacher
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage student participation and maintain classroom expectations
- Take attendance and document the day's activities
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other assigned duties
- Communicate with school staff and administrators
- Help ensure learning continues while the regular teacher is away
Monday – Friday
Full-Day Assignments
7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Half-Day Assignments
- Morning: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Assignment hours may vary by campus.
