We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to process medical claims, manage billing and collections, and ensure accurate reimbursement from insurance companies, government agencies, and third-party payers. The ideal candidate will review claims, resolve payment issues, maintain billing records, and collaborate with internal departments to support efficient revenue cycle operations. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Medical billing and collections experience preferred Knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement processes Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with billing systems and Microsoft Office applications Key Responsibilities: Review, prepare, submit, and process medical claims accurately and in a timely manner. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims to ensure proper reimbursement. Communicate with insurance companies, government agencies, patients, and internal departments regarding billing inquiries. Research and resolve claim discrepancies, payment issues, and billing errors. Process account adjustments, write-offs, credits, and other billing transactions as appropriate. Maintain accurate billing documentation and patient financial records. Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
