Senior Youth Development Specialist

The Lorain County Workforce Development Agency provides access to services that are targeted to meet the workforce-related needs of area employers, job-seekers, and youth preparing to enter the world of work. The Agency provides oversight to the operation of Lorain County’s One-Stop employment center, known as OhioMeansJobs Lorain County. Responsibilities Under general direction of Youth Program Manager, responsible for recruitment, assessment, and case management to youth, monitor program activities, document activities, maintain files and perform duties to achieve expected outcomes. This is a part time position working around 24 hours a week and we are looking to hire multiple candidates. Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with youth is necessary. Knowledge in federally funded programs a plus. Must have knowledge of social work techniques; social services policies, programs, rules and regulations. Must have knowledge of the Windows Operating System environment, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Must possess and maintain a current valid Ohio driver\'s license and maintain continuing eligibility for insurance coverage under the County\'s vehicle insurance policy. Knowledge of: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; (WIOA); Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and other government programs. Bilingual Capability is a plus. EEO #J-18808-Ljbffr
